NEWS: European Perinatal Health Report, 2015-2019
released by the Euro-Peristat Network
The Euro-Peristat network is pleased to announce the publication of a new European Perinatal Health Report on the 15th of November 2022, “Core indicators of the health and care of pregnant women and babies in Europe from 2015 to 2019”.
In this report, participating members in 24 European Union member states and Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom contributed data on nine Euro-Peristat core indicators for the five years from 2015 to 2019. Data were collected from national statistical systems using a new federated data collection protocol.
The report can be downloaded free of charge from our website, along with international and national press releases.
Euro-Peristat at the 15th European Public Health Conference in Berlin,
November 9-12, 2022
The Euro-Peristat Network has attended in the 15th European Public Health Conference which took place in Berlin the 9-12th November, 2022.
The network participated in two workshops on perinatal health in Europe and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on population health.

Population birth data and pandemic readiness in Europe, in the BJOG
As part of the Horizon 2020 PHIRI (Population Health Information Research Infrastructure) project on the use of population data for COVID-19 surveillance, the Euro-Peristat research network investigated the extent to which routine information systems could be used to assess the effects of the pandemic by constructing indicators of maternal and child health and of COVID-19 infection.
